Job Description
We’re Hiring: Senior Accountant – Dubai, UAE
Location: Dubai, United Arab Emirates
Position: Senior Accountant
Industry Preference: Media industry experience in the UAE is a plus.
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Accountant to join our team in Dubai. This role is ideal for a finance professional with a solid accounting background and a proven ability to lead and manage daily operations.
Key Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Commerce (Accounting) or equivalent.
Minimum 8 years of experience in accounting, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
Strong command of English (written and spoken).
In-depth knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and regulatory compliance.
Prior experience in the media industry in the UAE is preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Reporting
Prepare monthly financial statements including cash flow, balance sheet, and income statement.
Accounting Operations
Oversee daily accounting activities: Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), and general ledger entries.
Generate weekly aging reports for receivables and payables.
Compliance
Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards and UAE tax laws.
Audits
Coordinate and support external audits.
Maintain accurate and organized financial records.
Budgeting & Analysis
Assist in budget preparation and financial forecasting.
Analyze budget variances and provide actionable insights.
Cross-Department Collaboration
Work closely with internal teams to deliver financial analysis that supports strategic decision-making.
Follow up on client collections and manage supplier payments.
